Squash is a fast moving, dynamic game and is a great way to improve your fitness. It exercises all the major muscle groups and provides an intense cardio-vascular workout. With matches generally lasting about 40 minutes, you can easily fit squash into your schedule, whether at lunch-time or after work. Squash was voted the healthiest sport in Forbes magazine.

With around half a million people playing each month, squash is the 12th most popular participation sport in England. British players excel at international level, and there are increasing pressures for squash to become an Olympic sport England Squash and Racketball (ESR) is actively supporting this move.

Tavistock Squash Club was awarded a £65,000 grant from Sport England in 2015 to make sure we can offer a high quality sports facility for many years to come.

Squash For Juniors

The development of junior players is one of the club's primary objectives. We have a number of experienced coaches available and want to build a thriving "Academy" for boys and girls aged up to 18. This will offer the ability to reach whatever level is desired, but with the emphasis on being fun and enjoyable and helping kids keep fit and healthy.
